Ok so were all the holes filled?? I got confused. Biggest Q - how much time is spent on the cancer? that's one thing I super don't like.

No, all holes were not filled. As I said, that was pretty much my only complaint! LOL!! With regard to the mother’s cancer, it really wasn’t discussed outside of that as the explanation for the changes in her father‘s behavior and as the cause for her grief. Of course, everyone is different. But I don’t think someone sensitive to discussion of cancer/parental death would be particularly bothered by it. Again, that’s just from my perception though.
