Sounds like a tough one to get through
Happy to see this one was an all star one!! Nice review, Liz. I’m waiting for this one to come in :)
Wonderful review Liz. I am hesitant to read the very sad ones. I’m glad it ended in a brighter note!

Thanks for this review. She’s a favorite writer since her days at the NYT. She writes about death well, and a lot - I believe her own mother died relatively young… I’m looking forward to reading this one despite the sad theme.

I've not read this author yet, but I have 'Black and Blue' on my TBR. Will look this up as well. Nice review, Liz.

Thanks Rosh. I love her work. But Black and Blue is one of the few I haven’t read.
Beautiful review!! I want to read this but I’m scared to. My mom died of a brain aneurysm at age 47. I was almost 27. Luckily, I’m an only child and was already an adult but the aftermath of her death was pure hell.

Thanks Rhonda. This could bring back some painful memories, so be prepared if you do try it.
It’s a testament to personal strength, love and how even tangential people can have an impact on someone’s life.
Reminds me of that saying about how some people come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime. Great review, Liz.
