Thanks, Britta. A book is almost like fine art. We each observe and experience it in totally different ways. I came away with an impression that was dissimilar to others.....some high points and some lower points. ;)

I'm totally with you. I didn't even bother finishing it because I just couldn't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I completely agree with your points of what you saw lacking. Just didn't do it for me.

I didn’t have a problem with this book. Gave it 4 stars, I enjoyed it. I think people expect too much sometimes, just appreciate what IS in the book instead of finding fault with a writer’s debut novel. I just looked to see if it had a lot of positive reviews and it did.
