Elizabeth Ha ha she used a condom with her husband but he went bare with randoms, and couldn't even be celibate at least post knocking someone up

message 2: by Becky (new)

Becky Elizabeth he also never did it without a condom so doesnt know how he impregnate the other woman.
Irregardless, ridiculous portrait a married woman like this. Her marriage sounds like was awful and she was responsible for a big part of it

Ohh, regardless if he was drunk does he really remember? So was he magically able to be a manwhore and a father?? I thought when you became a parent you had to become frozen, but I guess thats just mothers lol

message 4: by Koryne (new)

Koryne single dad is just not for meeeeeeeee. the double standards are ridiculous. because if it was single mom she wouldn’t have had the time to sleep with anyone because she was too busy with her kid 🙄🙄🙄🙄

message 5: by Becky (new)

Becky About the night he made the baby and again how he wouldn't change dumping her

“I told you back then that what I had with Gracie’s mother was a one-night stand. One drunken night when I was angry and jealous because you had started dating Wes, and it was eating me alive. I didn’t know her all that well. We met at a bar. I didn’t see her again until eight and a half months later when she showed up on my doorstep, about to give birth. She was going to give Gracie up for adoption, and her parents convinced her that I should have the first right to keep her before she gave her away. So, I’d been there in the delivery room, and she gave birth, and I only saw her one more time after that.”
(...) “Where is she now?” “I don’t know. She was a successful model, and she wanted to travel the world, which I hope she’s doing. We obviously hadn’t planned to have a child. I’d used protection, so I don’t know what the fuck happened. But I wouldn’t change a thing now. At the time, I was pretty fucking terrified.”

Becky Koryne and Elizabeth! Exacly mothers never have any support system, they are lonely, sad, unhappy and celibate!

However single fathers have it all.

A quote about how he continue to be a hypocrite the same he was when he was mad at her for sleeping with someone when he had already done it twice

“Yeah? You’ve never hooked up with her?” I rolled my eyes. “Give me a little credit. I have a child.” “Does that mean once you become a parent, you don’t hook up with people?” She chuckled. “That’s kind of ironic, really. I mean, you have to have sex to make a baby, right?” “Last time I checked.” “And then what? You just stop having sex once you have the kid? That doesn’t seem logical.” “What the fuck are you talking about?” I groaned. “I didn’t say I didn’t have sex. I said I didn’t have sex with Rhonda.” “Oh. So, you do make time for yourself, huh?” “Presley.” “Cage.” “Can we not talk about this right now?”

message 7: by Kristina (new)

Kristina Feel like conservative propaganda promoting traditional wife and mother roles and the value of keeping accidental pregnancy. Big career women are sad and need children and crappy small town husbands o be happy.

message 8: by i_hype_romance (new)

i_hype_romance Thank you for this review!!!! I hate the accidental pregnancy trope and my romance reader friends know that. They were still trying to persuade me and I was holding out. Now I know why. This will not be a booktok train I jump onto.

message 9: by Sonia (new)

Sonia Oh. My. Gosh!!! Must you make us suffer with you Rebeka 🤣🤣🤣

I’m also with you Koryne!!!!
It’s bull shiiiiet…

If it was single mother, you best believe she’d basically be a damn nun

And of course, as a man, he can’t go long without sex 🙄

Bullll shiiieeeet

Maria (semi hiatus) God what a trainwreck. No romance, will be avoiding this one. Thank you for your review.

message 12: by Inna (new)

Inna I seriously don’t know how you got through this book. I would have probably felt all my remaining sanity slipping out of my body. Disgusting.

message 13: by Inna (new)

Inna Also, side note, the reviews for this book are insane. How do so many women read this book and think it’s romantic? I hope they are fake, but I doubt it.

message 14: by Chem&Comp (new)

Chem&Comp thanks...this would be a torture..

message 15: by jada (new)

jada Thank you for this!!! This series went downhill so fast for me and this would’ve made me rage 😡 just from your review i’m mad! i knew i wouldn’t like this with the single parent x second chance but omg it’s so much worse than i imagined

message 16: by BookReader53 (new)

BookReader53 I absolutely abhor when the zero gets another woman pregnant. It happened in another book too and the heroine apologized to the hero! Wtf!?? Why do authors think we want to read about this? It’s not romantic, and I would NEVER go back to a man who got another woman pregnant. Have some more self respect. It’s just so gross to me. I was really hoping he wasn’t going to actually be the father, but nope, this was just horrible.

message 17: by Becky (new)

Becky BookReader53 totally agree! I hate that the heroine become the child's mother. I would never get back to him. Almost never is the other way around.
He is and he impregnate her so soon after breaking up

message 18: by Natasha (new)

Natasha this sounds awful.

message 19: by crisbooks (new)

crisbooks I felt the same way. I hated Cage. He was awful to the heroine. I would never forgive him.

message 20: by Carastoian (new)

Carastoian Irina It’s just fiction, don’t Take it Too seriously.

message 21: by Jenny (new)

Jenny Your review is spot on! I’m so mad that I wasted my time on this 😡

message 22: by Lisa (new)

Lisa Also when the new vet starts and Cage acts rude & jealous... why was that necessary?! Painted him in a worse light - that's not cute, that's a huge possessive red flag!!

message 23: by Soffie⋆ ₊˚. (new)

Soffie⋆ ₊˚. Goodness me, thanks for this review. I usually try not to read reviews but this one is good. I'm definitely not gonna read this book. What a mess..

message 24: by Esther (new)

Esther Thanks for this review!!! Sorry for taking one for the team. Not touching this EVER. I’m speechless of this type of “romance”

message 25: by Debbie (new)

Debbie DiFiore This doesn't sound romantic at all. Great review! so glad I dodged this! Whewl Thank you

message 26: by Ellie (new)

Ellie sounds perfectly awful. are women really this stupid and weak? because the majority of the writers in this genre seem to think so.

message 27: by Kirk (new)

Kirk I agree with a lot of this, but could have done without the spoilers though.

message 28: by FANTASIAH (new)

FANTASIAH Thank you

message 29: by Raffaella (new)

Raffaella Amazing review, and of course I completely agree with you, it’s bs to say that the hero doesn’t regret having sex with another woman and impregnate her because he has a child. This is bs. E should always regret it because it wasn’t with the woman he loved. How writers don’t understand it, I just can’t understand. And there’s a lot of us readers that hate such craps and think it’s all a lot of bs. Oh,and it’s the heroine the only one he loved and the only one who understood him, but it’s ow he’s screwing and impregnating. Thank fuck. Amazing review!

message 30: by Nicole (new)

Nicole G Thanks for this! Hard pass for me

message 31: by Maria (new)
