It doesn't say Vera loved Mateo for 4 years. You will find out in Crimson River what Vera has been doing for 4 years, but it had nothing to do with Mateo.

@Wilnie i didn't enjoyed last dp books much and some of the reviews for crimson river made me feel like i won't enjoy that too. maybe i'll read it in the future but i feel like her plots getting repetitive at this point so i'm not excited 😒

I was excited that Mateo would have an accidental pregnancy story and we’d see something different. But Vera!? I’m disappointed.. imma still read it though lol

I didn’t like Talia and Eloise’s books because of Foster and Jasper. I was looking forward to this book but I am not a big fan of she falls first.
