Oh, that's interesting to hear. So far I only heard good things! I'm very curious if I'll like it now. xD

I wouldn't blame you. Still, not sure how I'm going to rate this. *lol*

I think it was an okay read and I had quite some issues while reading it. I don't get the hype. >_<

I'm wondering about them too. Mhmm....
I hated this book. The lack of ethics in the hospital killed it for me. And when Theo said "Alicia’s story resonated with me personally." 😂😂

I feel you! The lack of ethics in that psychiatric ward was horrible! I was like: No way!! throughout the entire book. XD Theo... uff.
I had to laugh at some of the unrealistic things you mentioned. Now I haven't read this but I have read several reviews here on GRs. If that was the case, how could all of these things have been overlooked by those who thought the book was great? Being as my father worked with psychologists in a government run psychiatric hospital for veterans he used to say that some of them were crazier than the patients.

See, that's the thing I'm wondering about, too? How could so many people read the very same book and be okay with that? It boggles the mind! Sure, you can just go with the flow for the storyline's sake but I honesty don't get the hype and why so many people decided to overlook all those plot holes. Read the book, Joe! And then tell me what you think! *lol* And you already said it, around your father's time things were way different than they are now. The standards changed drastically ever since and definitely for the better when it comes to the patients well-being.
