I love TJR’s books, but somehow this doesn’t surprise me in slightest. I won’t be buying anymore from her
thank you so much for this 🫶 i didn't realize alice oseman was on this list though omg 😭
say it louder! even if you wanna read these books don't buy them from a place that gives these authors profits and pls don't post updates while reading them.
@abi yeah it’s unfortunate :/ a lot of the authors that support israel or are “neutral” have done some questionable things in the past so it doesn’t surprise me to see that, for example, sarah j. mass is on the list
@lila exactly! the absolute least we can do is get the books secondhand & not post reviews and updates for them! better yet, not read them at all
@sumi SJM has been a known Zionist for years, unfortunately /: I’ve been boycotting her books forever, but it’s great that other people are bringing awareness. Ty for making this list, I had no idea Rachel Lynn Solomon was pro Israel either, so I definitely will stop buying her books as well
just a little note: i don’t want to spread misinformation so if one of these authors on this list doesn’t support israel, please lmk and i’ll re-research them !!
i dont think alice oseman is pro-israel...she donated to gaza and from what i've heard she had only had some of her books translated to hebrew and thats it...dont get me wrong i just dont think she's pro-israel by this property.
I wonder about Abby Jimenez as well bc in Just for the summer the first two places she mentions is Starbucks (having a chokehold on us 🙄) and McDonalds, published THIS MONTH, so I wonder why she didn’t change it hmm 🇵🇸🍉🇵🇸
Was just wondering about the Starbucks and macdonalds mention in 'just for the summer'. I don't want to assume anything but it's very suspicious mentioning both brands like that when its absolutely unnecessary for the story. So disappointed 🥲
