Thank you! Haha, it's still a different book for sure. But it has the vibes and tone of Locke Lamora. :)

Thank you, Audrey! If the publishers promote the book well, I think this one can really take off! :)

TheSpce OfLife I honestly don't do much if at all fantasy but you got my interest with it so I'll see when it comes out. Thank you.

Earl KC Scott Lynch and Joe Abercrombie? Say no more. Added straight to my TBR pile. Thanks, Petrik!

Not similar to them in writing, but the tone and setting of the book felt like a mix between the two! :)

Sara Your reviews make me always want to directly dive into a book. I have this book in my list of arcs to request, but I work hard not to accumulate too many of them and plan my reading accordingly.I might make an exception for this one. I have an eye on it since it was announced by tor

Sreyam Roy Hey Petrik! Lovely and informative review as always. Just wanted to know if this book has any maps. I like fantasy books with maps! :)

Michael Smith I have to say, I really like this cover art. But when I saw it announced and early reviews, everything about the cover art screams SELF PUBLISHED visually. So when I saw this last week in a bookstore I was like...wait, this isn't? I'm wondering if maybe publishers are noticing the growing increase in interest in self published fantasy, and borrowing visual elements for their presentation.

It's a gorgeous cover though

LambchoP Just ordered the hardcover. Should arrive day one after release date next week, review coming soon:)

Michael Morrison I started the audiobook on the way to work this morning. The first two chapters are better than half of the books I've read so far this year. That's promising.

Ittiqa Amazing review! Do you know how many books are going to be in this series coz reading unfinished series is really a tough thing to do for some readers

Benny The Bookie I love your reviews on Book Tube. For me though, it was just okay. An adequate fantasy adventure. I am glad you enjoyed it. And the cover art was fantastic. Maybe hyping this novel a little too much here. It could also be that I just finished reading The Failures before reading this, which I truly enjoyed, that caused me to come to the conclusion this is nothing special, but a fun read to digest and then move on to the next book on my TBR.
