All because one person shared their opinion about loving Aero more than Zade… if you read the book you would know these characters are completely different, the dialog is nothing of the same, but because one person claimed to love one more than the other the Zade army came to attack. There isn’t a reason to pick which stalker is better, you could love both. If the book or the writing style wasn’t for you just say that, but to drag an author and say it’s the wish version you couldn’t be more wrong or more disrespectful. If you go into a book with a negative mindset or another book in mind you won’t get the full experience.

Let me just go ahead and break this down for you.
1. I read the book until I wanted to rip my eyeballs from their sockets because I hated it. So no, I did not finish it, but I did read it.
2. All of us reading it and comparing it to Zade is because that is how all the ARC readers have been promoting it. THEY are the ones who put that thought into our heads. It is not my fault it's backfiring.
3. I have read other books with the stalker trope and have no problem separating them from Zade, but that's kind of hard to do when this book/author has stolen so many of his traits.
-He leaves the girl roses
-He has the same scar
-He constantly says he is her God
-Chases her through her house and gives her the same "If I catch you I fuck you" sort of line
-Plays with her 🐱 with a gun
-His dirty talk and way of speaking
Any of these^ ALONE in a book would not be an issue, but all of them together in one book with the same stalker trope... please 🙄... author was obviously a little too inspired by HD Carlton's masterpiece.
4. I'm going to say he is a wish version of Zade BECAUSE HE IS. All of the above^ just proves that the author tried to outdo the mfing DOER and she FAILED.
His dirty talk was terrible even with the Zade inspirations.
The gun he used to ✨play✨ with her was literally in another woman's mouth an hour or so before.
His bible pages & God claiming were ridiculous. He is trying to break her free of the "God" mindset, yet he makes her call him hers. Boy- 🤣
5. I can be mean in my reviews. THEY ARE NOT FOR AUTHORS. Reviews are for READERS. If she chooses to read my review that is her choice. I didn't write it for her. I wrote it for myself. I gave my opinion. If other people happen to agree, you, others, and she cannot be angry that I REVIEWED the book. That makes no sense.
6. I did say the writing style was blah to me. Did you not read my review or something?
7. I actually went into this book super excited and all it did was disappoint me. It's not my fault all the initial readers chose to compare this book and MMC to the GOD of dark romance. I tried to separate the two and not compare, but again, it's kinda hard not to compare when Aero had at least 1/2 of Zade's characteristics and personality.
You may be able to get away with copying another authors ideas and work on Wattpad, but not in the published world, sweets.

Actually I did read your review and that’s why I’m confused, because it sounds more like the other book than the book you’re actually here to review. To each their own, not every book is for everyone, but if you think for a second he was the first to do all of those things above you must not read much dark romance, cause I’ve seen all of those above in dark/ mafia, even bdsm. The rose is not original, and I’m not sure how one scar Vs a whole side of his face is the same, but again I know after your response you will only take what you want from this, I wasn’t even being disrespectful so coming at me like that wasn’t necessary. P.S ONE arc reader who loves both characters posts what’s meant to be a funny Tik-Tok and now ALL arc readers are promoting it that way…. WE are not the ones who put the comparison of Aero and Zade in our heads. That was all the initial/ARC readers who were saying that "Aero tops Zade" "Aero is so much better than Zade". You all can't get angry at us for comparing the two because you are the ones who put the thought IN OUR HEADS. I didn't search up this book, read the description, and think "hmmm... let me see if this man compares to Zade." NO. That is just how you all PROMOTED the book and now it's backfiring. Stop blaming us because we went into it thinking that this man is going to be on the same level as Zade when in fact he is not.

And sorry but Aero doesn't even begin to compare to Zade. Why did I talk about Haunting & Hunting Adeline, because that is what this book is being compared to and because of all the "coincidental" similarities.
I don't think he was the first one to do those things. I never said that 😭 I pointed out that it is fucking weird that this book as so mainly similarities to Haunting & Hunting. Like I said before, if it had only been that he left her roses, or only been that he had a face scar, it wouldn't have been odd. It's all of the things combined. I don't get how you do not understand that.

Anyone who thinks that he’s better than Zade is delusional and i don’t see how people feel the need to compare every character to H.D Carlton’s men every time they come up with a new book. I saw a bunch of TikToks doing the same thing and that’s a very pathetic way to promote and advertise their work.. by bringing down another author’s hard work.
I’m starting to think they’re using Haunting Adeline’s success and popularity to bring attention to their books.
It’s good that you stopped at 20%, that part when she’s fk Saint….and Aero is orchestrating the whole thing. If I saw this in a spoiler I would never read it from the beginning.

For all of the things you said. I was hyped by the ARC readers and I wanted to like it. It would have been better if he had his own thing but he felt very “copy paste” to me and I couldn’t get past it. It left a bad taste in my mouth the rest of the book. I also agree that the characters didn’t have enough time for their development, particularly the FMC getting past her religious trauma it just wasn’t there for me and I was left with quite a few other questions that didn’t get answered. I wanted to love it but here we are.

I don’t think the basics of religious trauma should be that hard to get right and the way I was seeing it portrayed in the beginning didn’t sit right with me. I wasn’t enjoying it and felt like the author didn’t even try to get it right😬 so that was another reason I didn’t finish.
I was so excited after I say the ARC readers hype! Sucks that it isn’t working out for a lot of us 🫤
No because the funny part was that the author of haunting Adeline even suggested this book to people who were looking for something similar on her tiktok. But I might be wrong tho.
