Rachel noooo. I am curious how this book has an insanely high review average but no one I know in person or on booktube/tok seems to enjoy it much. I kinda wanna try it myself but man my TBR is 8 feet deep as it is.
We need to chat about this book lol it's literally giving adult fantasy for girls who love CoHo and/or haven't ready a book since 6th grade. It's voicey YA with smut!!!!!! It's not good!!!!!!

I’m curious how you could give this a one star. I had criticisms but I mean it was fun and I personally loved it. I can see critical review giving it a lower rating but one star?

Haven’t read it, but pretty much all the people whose opinions I tend to agree with didn’t like it lol. I also heard the names of dragons and things are Scottish Gaelic, but not well-researched (according to a native speaker).
If you’re thinking about selling it can you please consider selling it to me? I’ve been looking everywhere 😭

Y'know what's also insane? Book 2's first hardcover printing is a million copies. One fucking million. Like. 🤡

Woah wait the author is an active member of the Mormon church? Did not see that coming... she wrote some very yay descriptive sex scenes lol
I read somewhere someone said she is no longer active in the LDS church but I have no way of verifying that. I do know there was a lot of discussion recently around her being active in the LDS church, and while that discussion was going on suddenly old blog post of hers where she talks about being active in the church were suddenly removed. So I’m not sure if she saw the conversation and decided to take down some stuff and just has not issued a statement or what.
I don't see why her religion matters in writing this fiction book. I'm.an atheist and I'm not a fan of religion in general. Unless she's a bad person altogether or includes references to the church in the book that people don't like, then that shouldn't matter. To each their own, though.
People worry about it because that specific religion uses the tithes from members to do anti-queer shit. So people don’t want their money going towards that. Which is their right as a consumer.

She left a comment on a video on tiktok that she was raised LDS but she hasn’t been an active participant in the church in 12 years including stepping into a church or tithe. The underlying video was deleted but if you search her name and “Mormon” on the clock app it should come up
