I watched the movie last night and it was beautiful. It's an update of the "Beauty and the Beast" folktale.
I couldn't imagine anything that Studio Ghibli has adapted without the wonderful soundtracks but I've seen a lot of people reading this one; maybe I'll give it a go... I'll have Spotify at the ready :)
Which narrator did you listen to? I love Jenny Sterlin's narration, but there's a newer one out by Kristin Atherton, and that seems to be the one available in most places now.
I'm so happy you loved it ^_^
I listened to Kristin Atherton's narration and it seemed pretty enjoyable to me as well.
But after your comments I think I should look for Sterlin's narration for the other books in the series )))
I've listened to the Atherton ones, too, and they're really nice as well! Sterlin does Sophie's old lady voice so perfectly, and there are a couple of lines that I love so much, that's what makes it even better :) The next two books have different protagonists, so there isn't as much of a difference.

Oh, really?!
Shoot, I hate it when they change protagonists in the series :(
I’m very glad that you liked this one, Allison 😊
I didn’t read it, only watched the movie (which I really loved)
I recommend the book if you ever want a comfort read then! There are some differences which you might like :)
