Mark Rizk Farag This is a really interesting take! I was wondering how the book is anti-Christian/antisemitic?

Dalia It demonizes Christians in general. One isn’t bad. They all are. And the Jewish representation is stereotyped. There is one Jewish character and he is portrayed in a very negative light. There is also a reference to
King Solomon that says that he communed with demons.

T.S.Reader so you're telling me that Christians are allowed to kill and literally eat Muslims and but they're not allowed to complain? and about King Suliman... tbh, idk what to say. Please go read history first

Jessica Russell One of the main characters is Christian. She’s a total badass.

I wonder if you consider a book racist if the antagonist is a different race from a group of white characters?

message 5: by Noah (new)

Noah Richards What a nonsense review. If you read historical fantasy with a Christian crusader protagonist that talked poorly about Muslims, you’d claim it was period accurate.

Wolf “I’m sad my powerful religion’s feelings were hurt” oh grow up.

message 7: by Il Sognato (new)

Il Sognato Yes but Solomon did actually commune with demons, he made them build his temple at the very least. Besides, what we today call "demons" through the lens of the Abrahamic tradition people in Solomon’s time called “deities”, so I’m not exactly sure how being in contact with them is, in his case, an offensive thing.
