Fully agree with your thoughts on this book! Also ended up giving it four stars. What I can’t stop thinking about is who the famous asshole at the 2014 party is… my current guess is James Franco. I think Page mentioning the spring breakers soundtrack playing in the background might have been a hint. As you said, an important book in the current climate!
Oh - good call - and yes, it WOULD be just like him to say something like that - the only thing is - she says the actor is question is STILL one of the top actors in Hollywood - and after his many scandals, Franco is now down at the C or D list level. I was thinking maybe Robert Downey?
I am also curious who 'Ryan' actually is also. :-) I was thinking maybe Drew Barrymore, since Page is kinda skittish about talking about her otherwise.
Sounds like a very fair appraisal. Sometimes one want to love a book, and knows that it's significant, but it's not immune from criticism either.
