Darla Wonderful review, Rosh. Too bad this wasn't your cup of tea. ☕

message 2: by Teres (new)

Teres This sounds like a cute story.

Heather Adores Books Guess I'll pass on this one cuz I probably would've listened. Great review, Rosh.

message 4: by Baba (new)

Baba One of those books that I would buy on the title alone Rosh :)

message 5: by A (new)

A Mac Ah, this one sounds a little frustrating overall. Between the flat secondary characters and the change in tone during the second half, I think I'll pass on it. Great review, Rosh!

message 6: by Chantel (new)

Chantel Thank you for taking one for the team (me). I need reviews from my reliable friends to keep me on course, i.e. not reading romance lmfao
Sorry that this didn't reach the heights of being a superb reading experience but I'm glad it wasn't a total loss :) xxx

Jayme C (Brunetteslikebookstoo) I guess I was the right reader-I loved it! 😍 Great review!

Sujoya - theoverbookedbibliophile This was such a heartwarming read. Sorry you didn't enjoy it more. Fair review!

message 9: by Srivalli (new)

Srivalli (Semi-Hiatus) Ah I was wondering why the plot felt familiar. I read reviews for the other title.
Those spoilers... really? geesh!

Superb review, Rosh. :)

message 10: by Kaceey (new)

Kaceey Excellent review Rosh! Wish it would have worked out better for you! Love the cover!🤩💖

Persephone's Pomegranate The first spoiler took me out 😂 What was the author thinking. Great review!

message 12: by Bharath (new)

Bharath I liked the premise of the story Rosh - comes as a cosy, light read. Sad the follow-through was average. Excellent review.

message 13: by Feli_H (new)

Feli_H It sounds like the author didn't put much thought into what a pregnant person would experience in those situations 😐
Off for another one better, Rosh! Nice review ✍

Shelley's Book Nook I loved this book but am sorry it didn't work for you. Your review brilliantly explains why, Rosh and is very fair and honest! I hope your next read is a winner! 🥰💕

message 15: by Debra (new)

Debra Terrific review, Rosh!

message 16: by Melissa (new)

Melissa ~ Bantering Books Fair review, Rosh! I'm sorry you didn't love it more. :)

message 17: by Jasmine (new)

Jasmine Excellent review, Rosh! The pregnancy bits would probably make my eyes roll lol. I don’t think this one is for me.

message 18: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth Terrific review! 🥰

Dorie - Cats&Books :) Great review Rosh. I'm always amazed at how thorough your reviews are :)

Thanks, Darla! I still regret how it went. I did like it but wanted more, as always. :)

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Teres wrote: "This sounds like a cute story."

Pretty cute, Teres. The ending is worth it. :)

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Heather Adores Books wrote: "Guess I'll pass on this one cuz I probably would've listened. Great review, Rosh."

Ah, lucky escape, Heather. I think it might work better if read. Thanks.

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Baba wrote: "One of those books that I would buy on the title alone Rosh :)"

Haha, I understand, Baba. I too was sold by the title and cover. :)

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) A wrote: "Ah, this one sounds a little frustrating overall. Between the flat secondary characters and the change in tone during the second half, I think I'll pass on it. Great review, Rosh!"

Thanks, A! Well, a majority did like it, so if you don't overanalyse it, you might still have a chance. :)

Haha, my pleasure, Chantel. ;) I still don't know why I pick these up because they never go the way I hope. :D

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Jayme wrote: "I guess I was the right reader-I loved it! 😍 Great review!"

Truly happy to hear that, Jayme!! Thanks! 💛

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Srivalli wrote: "Ah I was wondering why the plot felt familiar. I read reviews for the other title.

Superb review, Rosh. :)"

Thanks, Sri. I grabbed it thinking it was a new book. :D
Those spoilers truly irked me. Especially the first one. Such a silly portrayal! "bouncing"!!?? "Waddling" is more accurate.

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Kaceey wrote: "Excellent review Rosh! Wish it would have worked out better for you! Love the cover!🤩💖"

Thanks, Kaceey! I wish it did too. :( The cover is smart!

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Persephone's Pomegranate wrote: "The first spoiler took me out 😂 What was the author thinking. Great review!"

Ditto, Perse. Until then, I was still at a higher rating. :(

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Bharath wrote: "I liked the premise of the story Rosh - comes as a cosy, light read. Sad the follow-through was average. Excellent review."

It was cosy and light, Bharath. But I don't like it when light reads turn everything into a light and predictable matter. They need to push the envelope somewhere. :/

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Feli_H wrote: "It sounds like the author didn't put much thought into what a pregnant person would experience in those situations 😐

Seems like that, Feli. Not that every pregnant woman experiences the same thing, but the points in the book are just too exaggerated.
Fingers crossed for a better one!

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Jasmine wrote: "Excellent review, Rosh! The pregnancy bits would probably make my eyes roll lol. I don’t think this one is for me."

Thanks, Jasmine! Oh, I did more than my share of eye-rolling at those scenes! :D

Thanks, Mary Beth!

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Dorie - Cats&Books :) wrote: "Great review Rosh. I'm always amazed at how thorough your reviews are :)"

Thanks for your kind words, Dorie. :)

Melissa (Alaska Bound) I agree, this one needs some suspension of disbelief, but I thought it was a sweet story. Great review!

Rosh (is back & catching up slowly!) Melissa (Catch Up Mode) wrote: "I agree, this one needs some suspension of disbelief, but I thought it was a sweet story. Great review!"

Thanks, Melissa! It was really sweet but the suspension of disbelief in the second half became too much for me. Glad you liked it better. :)

Oh, yeah! Haven't been there yet but I've seen enough women to know what's possible and what isn't.

Kat Wonderful review, Rosh! I didn't love my first try with this author, but I'm a little more curious about this one. I'm glad you found things you enjoyed, even if it wasn't quite what you hoped for! 💗

Thanks much, Kat! 💙 Oh, I thought that everyone enjoyed the first book. I have yet to read it, so let's see how it goes. :)

Bigperm Ummm, a sensible preggo can and will drink a glass of champagne. I ran outside and on a treadmill until the day I delivered my baby.

Pregnancy is not a disability. Pregnant people can still do the things.

Sheesh! Thanks for outing the spoiler without any regard for others who might not have read the book!

A pregnant woman can drink a champagne. A sensible one will not.

I know it's not a disability.*eye roll* I've been pregnant twice and have done plenty of "the things" right till the day I delivered.
