What does it cost?
Amazon gives you episodes 1 - 3 for free. The rest cost tokens, but they give new Vella readers 200 free tokens. Unlocking episodes costs 1 token per 100 words. Now, I added it up. You can read the first 10 episodes of The Belt for 203 tokens, so episodes 1 - 9 are absolutely free. You only pay for episodes 10 on, and episode 10 will be cheap, costing just 3 of your paid tokens.
Tokens come in bundles, starting at $1.99 for 200, so at a rough guess, you'd pay less than it costs for a cup of coffee to get through 18 or so episodes of The Belt.
