Can’t wait for the updates!!

Thanks! I appreciate it. And, yes, she does the narration for this new "special edition" that came out in 2018.
It really took 9 months for you HP rerread? Felt like it was just a couple of months xD Enjoy this read, looking forward to your updates!

Thanks! Happy to hear that. Also, yes, it felt like the whole thing flew by. Even though it took about as long as my A Song of Ice and Fire reread, it did feel a lot quicker. I suppose it took longer because I usually listen to audiobooks when I drive or otherwise multitask, and I haven't been doing much driving during this whole pandemic. Quality "reading time" lost. lol.
Can't Wait! - I have just finished my re-read on Harry Potter and I'm thinking about buying the Hunger Games! I have never read these before.

Yeah, pandemic has been the cause of many reading less. LOL it feels like I should have read more, since less socially active and stuff, but nope xD But this whole year has flown by. My brain still thinks it's spring and not fall.
looking forward to these updates. thg is one of my all time favourite series. it makes updates all the more special when it's for a book you like, you know?
i listened to these audiobooks earlier this year and as a huge fan of the series who was skeptical i adored them. her narration is incredible!
My wife just finished the Carolyn McCormick version book 1 and she really didn't like it. I listened to some when she was working and I gotta agree, it didn't fit for me at all after having read them myself.
Lucy wrote: "Can't Wait! - I have just finished my re-read on Harry Potter and I'm thinking about buying the Hunger Games! I have never read these before."
Happy to hear that, Lucy! If you do read them, hope you have a great time :)
Aarja wrote: "Wait...you're reading this for the second time?"
Yes, this will be my second time through the series.
Maja wrote: "LOL it feels like I should have read more, since less socially active and stuff, but nope xD But this whole year has flown by. My brain still thinks it's spring and not fall."
Yes, that's so true! I can't believe it's fall already. It'll be winter before we know it!

Great to know! Happy to hear it'll be all the more special 😁👍

I'm enjoying it too. A real upgrade from the little I've heard of the original version :)

Perhaps he'd like this version better, if you can get your hands on it. Sometimes even the best voice actors aren't suited for specific roles.

Don't have an Audible account. Got this from the library.
It's funny, reading all these comments about the pandemic changing things... I'm here like all that changed is I wear a mask now lol oh yea, and fight to go see my dr who wont fill the meds I don't need to have blood work done to check, but will fill the ones that need blood work to know if I need a higher dose or not... Sorry, rant over!
Anyways, enjoy the series Jay!

Thanks! I'm all for friendly mini-rants :)

Okay, let me rephrase that. I don't sign up for Audible with my Amazon account. Which is to say I don't have an Audible account on my Amazon.
You're able to make a one time purchase just like a regular book on Kindle without getting Kindle Unlimited, but the prices are high, so I don't blame you for choosing the library.

Thanks Jay:) I try not to rant but that one really bugged me! Do you plan to try a chapter of the Carolyn McCormick narration, or just going to stick with Tatiana Maslany?

I think I'll just stick with this one. Keep it consistent.
Makes sense! I applaud you for being able to do audio books- I find them very hard to concentrate on, though I have done a few this year!

That's why I only listen to audiobooks of novels I've read before, so I don't have to devote so much attention to trying to follow the plot. All my audiobooks have been rereads.
Jenny wrote: "Thats a good idea, and allows you to reread when you dont have time to actually physically read."
I only really listen to audiobooks when I drive or otherwise do chores.
Exactly! For me, I get too into the book and forget about the chores lol. I can listen and drive tho!

I personally find driving without listening to a book a huge waste of time. Even before audiobooks were a thing with me, I'd always listen podcasts.

Hello there, garbage can. Just so you know, if you write "hi," or any variation of it, in my comments, it will be deleted. Do it often and you're going to be blocked. Sorry, that's how it is. I don't play games with comments :)
My problem with driving and listning is that my phone wont connect to the vehicle to play through the speakers, and I have really bad hearing, plus my trip to work is only about 15 minutes and any longer trips are usualy not solo, so I rarely have audio book time on the road

I use a cheap radio transmitter to play my phone audio over the car speakers. The problem with buying cheap ones is they wear out easily, so I've been through a few.
I don't know if I could get something like that to work- tech and I dont get along at all! For the fifteen minutes, I deal with no speakers by using my cup holders to amplify the volume. Longer trips, my dad and I chat usually

I do that too, or lay it on my lap. The cup holder's the usual place for my phone anyway.
