I remember these books fondly from my teenage days (yes I read all 3) , I have been thinking about rereading them for some time, your brilliant review put them back in scope.

Thank you, Lars. Wonderful light reading! 🤓

Thank you, Kevin. Probably not your bag, but it's fluffy fun stuff.
I'm amused that something with this title is the start of a series! Not such a deadly world after all?
Is it set in Australia? (^_~)

After all, it is fiction! (⊙_⊙)

Apatt wrote in his review: "Deathworld is actually the first volume of a trilogy, followed by the brilliantly titled Deathworld 2 and Deathworld 3.
In German the books are titled (translated back to English): Death-World, Slaves-World, Babarians-World.
Thought you might like to know that there are actually seven books in the series, although it's not clear how much of books 4 to 7 was actually written by Harrison. I found this info online:
Return to Deathworld
The “Return to Deathworld” series is a collaboration between Harry Harrison and Russian author Ant Skalandis and has never been published in English. The exact share of Harrison’s participation is unclear, as Skalandis has also written several sequels to late Edmond Hamilton’s books, and they were published in Russian under both their names.
These are:
Return to Deathworld (1998)
Deathworld vs. Filibusters (1998)
The Creatures from Hell (1999)
Foes in Intelligence (a.k.a. Deathworld 7) (2001)
Books 4 to 6 at least are also listed on GR:

Book 2 and three are set on different planets, but the original Deathworld is also a bit more chummy...
