Cecily "Unconditionally". Wow. It's a lovely and comprehensive review, yet even so, it doesn't pull me back to Austen, I'm afraid: too much else on the TBR.

PS Is that a beige-painted TARDIS disguised in the back right corner of the picture?

Wow! That's well spotted! You should be the next Companion! Must be Missy's because the blue box is stuck in that iconic form (due to merchandise sales).

Cecily I'd happily travel with Capaldi.

Larissa I too keep "coming back for more of her romantic shenanigans." I certainly agree with you: her prose, for me, makes up for any faults of the characters or plot. Well said, Apatt!

Thank you Larissa. She does tend to fall back on that eloping business, but otherwise this is quite an unusual book from her I think. It's a little more serious, darker and sadder, one of the characters almost died! :D

John Monro Thanks, Appatt.. I enjoyed your review and you have put forward succinctly and with some humour a good argument about its quality and worth.
