It does make a great audiobook. I suspect I enjoyed it more that way than I would have with text.

Agree fully! Book 2 is also cute and fun.

I loved this book, so much fun.

I highly recommend finishing the series. By the third book "the unwelcome quest" the characters personalities and quirks are downright endearing. The second book "spell or high water" has some slow parts but necessary background for book 3. I guarantee you will laugh with book 3. Out loud. Several times.

Book 3 will also appeal to your feminist values. I think you'll appreciate those pieces. I can't wait to find out if I'm correct. Let me know if you listen to it someday.
