Looking for my next read. I thought I'd turn to your bookshelf for inspiration. Found "Thorn Birds", in it's way a pre-curser to my reading of "Outlander". It was my first adult type novel at age 12. I remember little of it other than my love of the historical aspects. Seven years later I discovered Claire and Jamie who are now my favourite characters. Thank you for sharing such gifts of joy as your books have been to an avid reader!
Very good love story between two people that's a sin. I highly recommend it. And you must see the show.

Dear Agnes--
I suppose it would depend where you bought it, and in what format. You can check amazon.com for pricing, generally.

I, too, was entranced by Thorn Birds. Your Outlanddr Series, literally changed my life. It inspired me to search our family,s alleged Scottish heritage. Your books also entered my life at a very difficult time. Books have always been my escape, and I owe my sanity to this series. I have one request. Please, write faster!

I read the Thorn Birds in the 80s and love it...isn't there another one or was that just the mini series? Loved all!
colleen mc cullough is one of my favorites. for a long time though I've pondered a creed for the thjird millenea & her take on climate change. written in the eighties she saw what was happening early
I just wanted to let you know I am totally in love with your Outlander books. Just finished the eighth one and I must say you left me hanging. I can't wait until # 9 to find out what happens to Roger and Brianna. Thank you for such great books.
I read the thornbirds when it first came out watched the TV series and have read it again one of my favorite books
Any woman who has been pregnant knows how the hormones can run rampant at times. In 1988 it just so happened that I was obsessed with the Thornbird series, and that is how my daughter Meghan came to be named. Until recently, Meghan with an "h" was so rare that she never had bike license plates, toothbrushes, key chains and other nik- naks. I had to custom make her 'treasures'.! However, I have no regrets. She is as beautiful as her name
Me McCullough's Thorn Birds was great light reading. Very enjoyable. Her "Rome" series was harder reading but one of the best things ever written I thought. The "Outlander" series was in the middle in terms of difficulty but it is my all time favorite read. The characters feel like friends after only the first volume. My copies are ready for replacement.
