Oh Ann... see, I did LOVE the Poisonwood Bible!!I devoured that book in days!!
I felt the same Janet. I read it only because a dear friend got the book for me. She loved it. I've had other people rave about it. But I didn't like it. I admit that the writing was good, and I gave it 3 stars for the depiction of how they lived in those days. That was interesting, but otherwise, I did not enjoy it, and gladly passed it along once I was done.
