Wow that's the youngest I've seen! I kind of believe people I guess at 11 for say read YA and when I was a young adult, in high school, I was assigned reading adult books like Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale and Life of Pi (note those books were part of a literature English elective I took and enjoyed). So, like I told my 14 year old brother, I just finished a YA thriller where the character is 17 (and it contains sex that I was worried about). But now, I said hey if you want to read it just get it off my shelf and let me know.
