You really can't make a judgement of Christian Grey without reading all three of the books. He was a sexist pig in the first one but he grew as a person and became a lot better person. But as for the fact of the BDSM lifestyle no one can judge people for the lifestyle because it's not just a lifestyle that the rich people do it's also a lifestyle that many many women in this world would love to try even if they have never done it before. So before you judge a book by the cover read the whole thing first.....that meaning the whole series. You can't judge a person at the first glance pretty much. I urge you to read the whole thing and then come back and judge Christian Grey.
I hate "you have to read the other books" arguments. If a character has no appeal then why continue reading? Apparently a lot of readers are actually buying this romanticing of violence men practice against women. Maybe Jessica should read a book with a healthy relationship at its center instead.
