Thank you. I think you helped me make up my mind..
Personally I don't think his specific religion is very obvious in his storytelling. I do however think he makes it pretty obvious by the prevalence of religion in his books that its an important part of his life/work.
That being said, as an Atheist I've never had an issue with all the religion in his books. The stories tend to be very good and the writing for the most part is above that of other writers.
Violence wise his books aren't PG13, as there is alot of it. However, the sexual aspect of his characters in most of his books is almost never addressed nor is it really shown. Only implied. In that I find it to be not even PG-13.
