Susan I agree with everything you said.

Joyce Mandeville I loved this book. The time warping was a bit confusing, but Kate Atkinson never disappoints, at least she never disappoints me.

Cathy Sargent Exactly. I also experienced these events as if I was right there! I always had a fantasy about being a time travelor. Seducing and killing Hitler. I loved how Urusla described him as having thin lips like a snake. Many women can relate to Ursula being a magnet for unsavory types of men not including Hitler. I had a lot of reactions to Derek..wanted to blow him away as well..I know why Ursula had a break down when she saw Derek again in another life...So profound when the Doctor quotes the book of Corinthians. What a contrast to the belief in re incarnation. We are but a sounding gong with our thousand voices and our prophecies without charity and without love. Like Ursula I have tried to re story my life in my imagination...to restore justice in the world...I wrote a masters thesis on "Midlife Madness and the Uroborus" the snake...In conclusion I am reminded of the 12 step program..life is unmanageable, I cannot control things, I am not God and have to rely on a power and love greater than MYSELF and my stories about re incarnation. It would be tempting though to go back in time to stop injustices in life that I have experienced.
