How about her son? she treated him good though if you look back in the book she never treated him bad just her daughter I still don't get it, if she didn't like kids why was she so nice and loving to her son?
her treatment of Mae Moebly (horrible name by the way) mirrors the relationship of Skeeter and her mother. I think its representative of how Skeeter was treated as a child
Wow. That was a terrific observation. I didn't even see that. It really does reflect the relationship of skeeter and her mother. Fortunately, her mother saw the light and changed. That seldom happens, it seems. Once a self centered person, always a self centered person unless you are hit with a bolt of lightening or God Himself touches you.
