mkfs I like to think that a good definition of a classic is "a book you can't spoil by revealing the ending".

James True up to a point. I would say 'Great Expectations' for one would suffer substantially if the reader were to know Pip's benefactor from the outset.

Cliff Verge Why read a book just because it is a classic. Read what you enjoy. If You enjoy the "Classics" by all means read them. If you don't enjoy them forget them.
