darren mattered to him more than his mother whom given birth to that ill mannered boy. it is a tricky question to answer

but his mum might not have loved him and maybe that's why he feared rejection and reacted the way he did

his mom is like any other mother, even the one who dispise or dislike their children are not encapable of feeling love for their ofspring. sure his mother loved him and even he knew that... if his mother (cirque du freak) had turned up sobbing and creating nothing but a scene in the wating hall then surely he was loved yes??/ not all kids ill natured like steve hate their parents, but steve was wrong to take liberties and think so lowly... his hatred grew because he felt he was stronger and the others around him were weaker, his parents were below him and the vampires an even match for him. my my if what desmond tiny says is true, he was desmond tiny's son, desmond is beyon the trail of evil and the begining of the end of time only to crave the endurance of suffering....any sporn or creation of his is warped in one way or another, but when hatred grows in a monter it avenges... and evil in him was provoked like a trigger. but there is sure to be more to this discussion than we know as it is a hard one to answer
