How many times has he been mentioned in this discussion, for example? I've read more reviews from Americans who have never heard of him or at least of what he did than from those who were aware of him. Apparently it's not important enough to be taught in US schools. (It's taught to us in the 8th grade.) I find that kind of ignorance very interesting when everyone seems to know about the Holocaust.
Also, how many Russians/Soviets have been tried for war crimes or for starting a war? None, they are still considered heroes, even partisans who attacked civilian villages and killed everyone they could find, even the small children. Instead they had a judge at the Nuremberg Trials.
Well it seems he does if students are not even educated about him. I find it strange that Hitler does get more attention. I guess some people just don't matter that much. Otherwise there is no reason for it because both happened at the same time.
This question is quite universal and Hitler wasn't the only who was quilty of a genocide. Stalin can be called twisted, too. But it seems that most of these people don't even know that.
Well it might be the number one example to Americans, but it certainly isn't for the whole world. Don't you also claim that you liberated Europe?
And it should be obvious why I brought it up. Why shouldn't I? It brings up another perspective to the matter. US leaders were not bothered about helping a dictator already known to having killed millions. Maybe somebody would want to think about that, too. How Americans feel about it? I certainly am curious.
