You should go back and read the earlier books. The movie is good, but the book did that story much better.
Oh yes. Reacher's novels are all good. I didn't see the movie. I was too horrified that Cruise was playing Reacher.
Give it a shot. While Cruise doesn't match what we know Reacher to be physically he makes up for it with his on screen presence. He nails the personality and nature of Reacher. I was prepared to hate the film and was pleasantly surprised.
