I had very similar thoughts at the end of the novel-- it became very long-winded at the end, but I really loved the story and the characters in it. But since I don't fully trust Theo, the way he suddenly pounds me with his philosophy is a bit off-putting. I still really enjoyed it though.
I agree. The end when Theo started asking really deep and dark philosophical questions about himself and life, I did find rather heavy. But then again that was Theo's character in general.
