Yes I must agree,that the book began with heathcliff and almost ended with his death!

Heathcliff. The whole novel is about revenge and it is Heathcliff's revenge which is achieved.

Heathcliff I think. He sets things in motion in the lives of nearly every other character in the book. The story revolves around him.
