Maggie I just finished it for my book club. I would not read it again if I had it to do over.

Kathy Interesting Maggie...can I ask you why?...just out of curiosity....

Maggie I am actually not sure. I didn't dislike it, but more I just didn't like it. The style is a bit different but I got used to that about 1/4 the way in. I guess it's such a dark subject and it's possible it was just bad timing on my part. I usually prefer books with substance, but the heaviness of it seemed like a lot to me right now. It's well written and interesting in it's delivery. Probably I would recommend it for someone but for me, bad timing for a dark book. Hope this clarifies.

Kathy Thank you very much Maggie....I totally agree with the timing of reading certain books...thank you for clarifying...it's nice to get the different perspectives from the book :)

Bl I think 2 things make a good book: Good story and good writing. This one is narrated and edited well plus it's a good story. In fact, it has ruined me for several books after it, because it was so well done. If it wasn't a good story it wouldn't become a movie. I have a feeling I'll be let down by the movie, but we'll see. Definitely read the book.
