It is a YA novel, not Fifty Shades of Grey.
I agree that she was the best in book one and the author should have left it there. back in the old days of sci-fi, a book would end with a victory in the games and a promise. "we will be free of the Capital someday, now that everyone is aware of how much they suck." This series, like so many others, suffers from 'trilogy-itis'. Take a good idea and try to stretch it out for several more money-makers. Repeat the same old concept (a second hunger games) and fill it out with a bunch of Love nonsense (Save Peeta! Ooo noo, save Katniss!") My opinion is that there should only have been 2 books. Book 2: Win the 2nd games, burst out of the arena, Big riots occur and overthrow the Capitol.
