After the ending, I lowered my reviews for the entire series, and still feel frustrated with Allegiant weeks after finishing. Lauren's blog addresses the many problems clearly. Having pre-ordered the book, I feel trapped by that investment. At this point, I think skipping the movie (and future books) is the only way I can express my lingering feelings.
Great review! I wished I had read it before reading Allegiant!
I agree on everything especially on the wasted potential of the series and very true that a book is defined by its ending.
I think Roth has an aversion to anything good happening to her main characters...
