Exactly... It didn't really added anything
I don't know......the boys were connected to Nabi and Pari's adoptive father. The story with the girl with the ax wound really showed how the boys turned out. The altruist wanted to help her, but lacked conviction and, when he returned home, forgot about her fairly quickly. He also never returned to Afghanistan after that one trip. The narcissist, on the other hand, returned several times and ended up being a guardian angel for the girl. I'm sure he did it for a purely narcissistic reason, the accolades, but ends & means. I was interested to see how they turned out after meeting them through Nabi when they were children.
