Rebecca Everybody is an auditory learner. Everybody is a visual learner. Everybody is a kinetic learner. The idea that different people have different learning styles has been tested over and over again and nobody has ever come up with any evidence for it.

Susan I don't believe that. My husband is severely dyslexic and gets very little from reading. But he can watch documentaries and get so much more out of them than I do. I think there are many different ways of learning.

Dee Rebecca - do you have some peer-reviewed research to support that argument? out of curiosity

Annemarie Donahue Rebecca, I teach English, you can trust me that not everyone learns the same way. I have students who need visuals aids, I myself need sequences modeled for me to truly comprehend them. Example, knitting, I can't learn a stitch through reading the instructions, it makes no sense. But the moment my mum does it infront of me, I get it.
