I know, right? I also love the humor. Here's another favorite of mine: “I read in a book once that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but I've never been able to believe it. I don't believe a rose WOULD be as nice if it was called a thistle or a skunk cabbage.”

Good old Anne! don't forget the alabaster brows lol, I never could figure out what it was until I actually *gasp* figured out that alabaster was a color :P

I love that scene. My other response is always "Yes! Finally!"

I just realized that this was from the second book, but oh well, I still love it. And I think the best parts of the books are the dialogue. I don't know if could pick a scene.

Anne of Green Gables is my all time favorite story. I guess my favorite seen is the very end of Anne of Avonlea (the sequel) when they FINALLY kiss. This is one of the most romantic stories ever - without sex - and makes you feel happy and completed by the end.

Mine is definitely when Anne breaks her slate over Gilbert's head!

There are so many other next in line moments - when she discovers she has won a short story comp through Diana Barry adding a reference to ' Rollins Reliable Baking Powder' to her story!
