I know, right? I also love the humor. Here's another favorite of mine: “I read in a book once that a rose by any other name would smell as sweet, but I've never been able to believe it. I don't believe a rose WOULD be as nice if it was called a thistle or a skunk cabbage.”

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall Good old Anne! don't forget the alabaster brows lol, I never could figure out what it was until I actually *gasp* figured out that alabaster was a color :P

A color! Of course! Now I get it...
*facepalm*

Theodosia of the Fathomless Hall Lol, I kept thinking of plaster...and that is hardly too terribly romantic ;D

Anna I love that scene. My other response is always "Yes! Finally!"

I just realized that this was from the second book, but oh well, I still love it. And I think the best parts of the books are the dialogue. I don't know if could pick a scene.

Debbie Tracy Anne of Green Gables is my all time favorite story. I guess my favorite seen is the very end of Anne of Avonlea (the sequel) when they FINALLY kiss. This is one of the most romantic stories ever - without sex - and makes you feel happy and completed by the end.

Margaret Skea Mine is definitely when Anne breaks her slate over Gilbert's head!

Margaret Skea There are so many other next in line moments - when she discovers she has won a short story comp through Diana Barry adding a reference to ' Rollins Reliable Baking Powder' to her story!
