Michelle Thieme I agree! I think Nick & Amy are two sides of the same monster. Both have Narcissistic Personality Disorder, but Nick's is the quieter, less obvious form. Amy on the other hand has decided to show Nick, at least who she really is; I'm thinking in a bid to have at least one person in the world know just how "amazing" the real Amazing Amy is and because she recognizes in Nick a symbiosis of sorts. I actually thought the ending was delightful...Nick knows he can't step out of line or she'll kill him while on the other hand, Amy needs to watch out for Nick because if she pushes too far, he's perfectly capable of killing her--it won't be cold-blooded as Amy has shown herself capable of, but in a rage. A very uneasy relationship of checks and balances.

Patricia I also read the ending as sinister. I thought maybe she was going to somehow hurt the baby to punish Nick.

Marilyn OF COURSE the ending is sinister! OF COURSE Nick should watch his back. Amy is thoroughly evil, and that made this ending scarily good.
