I actually completely disagree. I'm of the persuasion that sexual attraction, romantic attraction, and platonic love are three completely separate forces that coincide only in a few, glorious encounters.
I think Michael and Lisbeth have the same kind of outlook, based on the relationships they form and their actions. I think Mikael had a lot of love for Lisbeth, and I think Lisbeth in the end has a lot of love for him but it would be weird if that blossomed into a romantic sort of relationship. I just can't see how a romantic relationship could ever evolve enough to become untarnished by the power inbalance they started off with, whereas with a friendship I can totally see how that could be worked out. I dunno. I should also note that I haven't read the books in ages so I don't know how accurate my recollections are,
