You can't take out Teresa she's a big part towards the story moving forward.
I personally did not like anything she did in the whole series, so if she was out then I would enjoy the plot way more.
But you're not understanding my point. If Teresa hadn't shown up, they would have just stayed in the Maze forever.
That may be true in a way, but I think they would have eventually gone out. Or if the author out another way for that to happen.
Also I don't think it would have been a bad thing to be in the maze a little longer.
