Sheila Hansberger No, the book is about the author's grandmother... a woman who was made of a toughness that, thank goodness, Walls inherited not the dysfunctional characteristics that her mother exhibited.

Nona Thomas Tried to read Half Broken Horses. It was too boring for me

Pamela Half Broke Horses is quite different from Jeanette's personal memoir. It didn't hold my attention. Another captivating memoir is, JoyRide: Life, Death and Forgiveness.

Sheila Hansberger Put Silver Star, Walls' latest release, on your "to do" list. I just finished reading it and enjoyed it a lot. Even though it's a novel, it has many similarities to The Glass Castle, her memoir from several years ago. Well worth the read!
