Rida Totally Agree!!!!! I mean you don't get over another girl/guy in a minute! Especially that he was talking about Rosaline like he'll never love again or something like that if I remember correctly it was back in 03 that I read it for class

Tashann I have to agree as well. The entire relationship likely would have ended rather quickly if it weren't for the attraction of defying their families and marrying the enemy. Besides, Romeo seems to have the attention span of a gerbil in regards to women. First, he's brooding over Rosaline, then he moves on to Juliet without giving Rosaline a second thought. Who knows who could have been next had Romeo not been killed off?

Ulisses funniest comments ever!

Anna Romeo probably couldn't remember her name either. Pretty loyal, eh?

message 6: by Ruthliz (new)

Ruthliz We are being realistic here and yet the characters struck me as unrealistic to. I have avoided a quarrel with the book simply by trying to enter the book and try to look at things their way. Remember people those days used to be match made and one would find him/herself getting married to someone you have never spent any time with.

Rose Arno I think you're missing the point. It's all to do with poetic license, not reality.
