I absolutely agree! I also recently read the novel and i really did like it but not as much as the film. I am really glad they changed the ending in the movie because i much prefer it to the novel. It made the movie less like a Cinderella retelling.
But is IS a Cindarella retelling... That's like the main point. I agree that the movie was fun in it's way, but it was nothing like the book. It shouldn't have even been able to use the book's title.
I know it is a Cinderella retelling but I appreciate the fact that the movie did not make it as obvious as the book. But youre right the movie is really different from the novel but I think the tittle still fits!
Yeah, and I guess if the author was ok with it, we can't really complain. It's still one of the "strangest" if not "worst" movie adaptations of a book ever.
