but that is not george rr martins stile.. it will not end with som one good.. if you follow the story it is always the good guys with honor that suffered.... it will end bitter sweet i think exactly as george rr martin him self said about the ending
Santina - Indeed. It's hard to believe that anyone could read ADwD and still claim with a straight face that Jon is 'worthy of leadership' or that he doesn't make stupid decisions. Anyone who is lynched by his followers is pretty much by definition not a good leader.
Jon's not a TERRIBLE leader. But he's young, and he's rash, and he follows the Eddard Stark school of leadership that expects everyone to obey you out of duty and not turn on you ever.
No one is going to be a perfect leader. Jon's better than most, but he's not "better" than Dany, and personally I think anyone who says so is holding them up to a massive double-standard by forgiving Jon for his mistakes but castigating Dany for hers.
True enough - I didn't mean that he's terrible. But he needs to learn that merely having good intentions and trying to do the right thing doesn't mean people will follow you or even respect you. Dany too has learnt some of these lessons through the utter fiasco she has created in the Slaver's Bay cities. But at least she didn't have the 'too honourable for their own good' Stark genes to contend with. ;)
I think Dany is a better leader than Jon because she is all about actually making her people happy whereas Jon just expects them to do their duty...but I think Jon is smarter. I agree with most of Jon's decisions, except for the fact that he doesn't take into account how stupid most of the people he's leading are, and how they will react. I think he makes the right choices, he just doesn't take the time to make the people he's leading see that. With one of them leading and one of them as hand or on the council they would probably rule better together. I don't think Dany makes the smartest choices to achieve her goals, but at least she can make people love her. I see Jon as almost entirely the opposite.
