I think that Harriet will be found alive but with amnesia (as you say) or in a vegetative state. That would explain why she has not contacted her family in 10 years. Flavia's father doesn't seem ecstatic perhaps because of this. Hopefully, if brought back home, Buckshaw could be saved from being sold.
