I am a teacher. I'm getting this ready for my students. I'm just starting to explore the website and how it all works, including the discussion stuff and settings. Apparently, I need to look further into this.
I think you could edit your question to reflect you are a teacher and exploring this concept for use in class. I think it's a great question, personally, although I am not prepared to answer it right now, not having my book to hand. :)
Sorry Dana, but many students use Goodreads to do their homework and your question sounded exactly like a high school homework discussion question. I second what Budd said. Create your own group that is comprised of your students.
