I've been reading Banks' Hydrogen Sonata. It could benefit from a good edit, as it seems to be a bit all over the place, though it's enjoyable. I'm glad people continue to find this thread and suggestion new books. I expected a few of the suggestions I've seen like Reynolds but there are some I'd never even heard of, which is fantastic. The Quantum Thief looks very interesting. More and more stuff comes out every day and I am even seeing some indie authors who could make this list. It's getting harder every day to tell the difference as people put out more professional material, working with artists and editors. I am expecting more authors to push the limits with riskier books.
