No one knows who Minho is named after, but some people said it was after a 'furture scientist' who was Dashner's nephew or something like that. I don't know what that means exactly but hey Dashner wrote it so it could be true.

And there's something else. Gally's named after Galileo, who is italian. Gally is described as an italian - tall, dark black hair, that weird nose. Italian's have big noses.

And then Newt. Isaac Newton is english.

Thomas Edison is an american obviously as is our Thomas. I think the people the characters were named after were the same nationality

Teresa- Mother Teresa? DUH! Winston- Winston Churchill? I'm not 100% on that one. Also, WHO THE HELL IS FRYPAN?

Hailz Minho isn't named after anyone famous. But Dashner's niece's husband it called Minho. He said this in an interview.
